If you know your reggae, you know Inner Circle and Third World go way back. Like all-the-way-to-the-beginning-of-each-others’ careers back. In fact, most primary members of Third World put in time with Inner Circle at one point, notably founders Cat Coore and Ibo Cooper. Even Bunny Rugs once sang for the “Bad Boys” of reggae.
Well, now, the groups are joining forces again for the first annual Reggae Jam at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami. This is one of the more prestigious performance spaces in Miami, so this definitely promises to be a special event, and a big day for reggae in the city. If you’re a South Florida resident or just plan on being in Miami the weekend after next, LargeUp has a pair of tickets to give away for the show, which goes down on Friday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. To win your tickets, follow @Largeupdotcom on Twitter, and RT the following: Want to win 2 tix to see @ThirdWorldBand + Inner Circle (@BadBoysofReggae) in Miami? Meanwhile, check Inner Circle’s new video, for “Young, Wild and Free (Reggae Remix)” featuring I-Octane (which we premiered here last week) and look out for our upcoming joint interview with Third World’s Cat Coore and Inner Circle’s Ian Lewis.
