Major ‘Smoker’: Aidonia’s Weed Anthem Gets a Lazer-Powered Remix

Walshy Fire x Major Lazer x Aidonia

Aidonia recently dropped a new weed anthem, “Joker Smoker,” and we hear it’s hitting in Jamaica with the strength of 1,000 ounces of high-grade. Produced by Yosuke “Pancho” Kawamoto of Japanese duo Gachapan, it’s built around a sample of Triston Palmer’s 1982 classic of the same name. Though it’s only been around a week, it’s already making some serious waves.

Not missing a beat, Major Lazer —specifically our own contributor, friend and Lazer MC, Walshy Fire—has responded with an EDM remix of the weed anthem, pairing ‘Donia’s vocals with the sounds of the moment’s current hot-button dance track, Baauer’s “Harlem Shake.” The original song’s production already has something of a dubstep influence, and Jamaica seems to really be embracing EDM now, so this one’s certain to be a shat, too. Download Major Lazer’s “Joker Smoker” remix—which apparently they’re also calling “Smoker Shake, Oh My”—below, and stream the original while you’re at it, too.
