As slightly more than 1/2 of Major Lazer, Diplo is mostly known these days for being the non-Jamaicanest champion of Jamaican dancehall culture on MTV and all bouts. Never one to limit himself, however, he has apparently branched out into being the non-Cubanest (cubist?) DJ in Cuba, having jumped on the opportunity to accompany Puerto Rican weirdo-ton rappers Calle Trace on a trip to the fabulous Isle. Your man bounces around so much that he usually doesnโt bother to document his jetsetting these days. But in recognition of this rare excursionโ the Obama administration shows signs of defrosting diplomatic relations but Cuba is still technically an illegal destination for U.S. citizensโMad Decent posted a full travel diary and a ton of pics from the trip. You can get the full travelogue into this little-seen (at least to us yanquis) corner of the Caribbean here including music, girls with cigars and some diplo-matical madness with an exploding bathroom.
