A recent post on Seen put us onto the kingstonstyle blog, which is exactly what it sounds like, a gal-pon-the-street diary of of fashion do’s spotted outside some notable dances in Jamaica. A cool 15 minutes of fame for your JA hipster and an invaluable resource for us yankees that recognize the hotbed of original fresh that is Kingston. Dancehall nerds will recognize camera-ready artists like Nitty Kutchie and Cherine Anderson in the dance but the ensembles are the real stars. Of course, we’d like to see some of the more cut-up, ouch-girl type lane couture mixed in with the upmarket wears–but either way: we a watch you.
