Big Daddy Spragga: Official “Shotta Culture” Video

Words by Eddie STATS Houghton

Roughly one million years after we broke the news, the next Spragga and Salaam Remi collaboration from the Shotta Culture project has leaked to the inna-net in the form of this video joint, also called “Shotta Culture.” Not one of the tunes I heard in Mr. Morgan’s office back in late ’09 but still a killer–Salaam seems to be back in fighting “Made You Look” form, flipping the crucial Albert King horns from Big Daddy Kane’s “Young, Gifted & Black” over some classic King Tubby-style drums, thoroughly drenched in spring-reverb. The video looks good too, though I haven’t seen a director’s credit so far. But we won’t really be ready to sound the big vuvuzelas until the official video for “More Life” drops. Watch for it–trust us!
