Considering the grip that “Hold Yuh” has had on urban radio the last few months, it was only a matter of time before R&B artists and rappers began tapping Gyptian for cameos. Actually, it’s somewhat surprising that it took this long for the first such track, Mary J. Blige’s “Anything You Want,” to appear — and that it’s such a heavily reggae-weighted tune. We’re not totally mad at the single, which pairs Mary and Gyp with yardfather Busta Rhymes on a melodic update of the timeless Stalag riddim produced by Wyclef cousin/J-Bieber collaborator Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis, but it’s definitely something we’re going to have to warm up to over time. Thoughts?
