Vybz Kartel’s new Dre Skull-produced LP Kingston Story drops tomorrow and LargeUp got the greenlight from Dre and his Mixpak records crew to premiere the first track from the album, a vocal intro called simply “Jamaica.” Though clocking in at only 2 minutes and some seconds, the haunting synths and dreamy chat of “Jamaica” are the perfect teaser for the album, which is driven by Dre’s orchestral electronics, riddims that bring out a far more melodic Vybz Kartel than we’re used to.
