Speaking of Mad Decent, Major Lazerโthe cyborg mercenary that is the face of the wildly successful leftfield dancehall musical project (and now Adult Swim cartoon)โhas finally gotten his own action figure. There are a few catches: the 9โณ green plastic figurine is mono-color and does not appear to be fully pose-able (although it does look like the head and arms can swivel through a limited range of laser fire). Worse, production was apparently limited to an extremely exclusive run of 30 (!) pieces. Not surprisingly, it is listed in the Mad Decent superstore as This Item is Currently Sold Out ๐ but the truth is those 30 are most likley being hoarded for the 2011 San Diego Comic-con. We can only hope that this is only the experimental prototype of what will be a mass-produced, full-color action figure.ย Seems like that is the fate the character was destined for from the beginning but in the way of show-biz he had to get discovered as a musical act and sell a few records first. Probably heโll end up on an episode of Behind the Music, in group therapy with Noodle from the Gorillaz.
