Panamanian-born Chicago transplant MC Zulu has just released a new single, “Call Red Alert” from his upcoming LP, Electro Track Therapy. A leader in the global bass scene, Zulu delivers a typically hard-hitting lyrical punch on “Call Red Alert,” over a pulsating, skittering beat that sits along the edge of dancehall, soca and something else. The track comes courtesy of Montreal electro-bass-soca-dancehall fusionist Poirier, who previously featured Zulu on his 2008 No Ground Under LP. Released last week on Perception 2020 Recordings, Zulu’s Electro Track Therapy features bass producers from across the globe including the Bumps, Mochipet, Mega Bo, Kush Arora, Chrissy Murderbot, Bionik, and more.
