Words by Eddie STATS Houghton
Y’all know we are Los Rakas stans around here. Hell, we are actually naturalized citizens of West Rakastan (henceforth I would like to be referred to as ‘Raka Stats.’ Not really.) And in the spirit of our homeland we are giving LargeUp readers a chance at visiting the motherland when Los Rakas come to New York this Saturday November 19th to bless the stage at SOBs.
It’s all part of their Future Roots series curated by our homegirl Nati from Conrazon. Joining LR will be Dre Skull (you doubtless know him as Vybz Kartel’s partner in um, creativity on the Kingston Story LP. You know, this guy) and Geko Jones of Que Bajo fame–AKA the original Rakastan (if I remember, Geko put me up on these cats when all they had out was a mixtape track over the Sidewalk University riddim).
We only have one pair (2 tix) for Saturdays show to give away. To get them here’s what you got to do: follow @largeupdotcom on twitter and tweet the following phrase at us:
I want to win tix to see Los Rakas at @SOBs in NYC this Sat 11/19 thanks to @largeupdotcom and #FutureRoots
Important: you must follow @largeupdotcom so that we can DM you confirmation and details on how to collect your tickets if you win. Good luck! And may the best Raka win.
