The force really seems to be aligning behind 18-year-old reggae-pop protege Cris Cab. The Cuban kid from Miami dropped his Echo Boom mixtape today, featuring production from Wyclef (who’s executive producing Cab’s upcoming debut LP) and Pharrell Williams, and, unsurprisingly, it’s everywhere. We’d like to bring your attention to two tracks in particular that we’re jamming to the most—at least on first listen. The first being “Turn You On,” featuring two of our favorite Caribbean crossover acts in Shaggy and Melanie Fiona, and the other being “Put In Work,”—’cause any track that starts out with ‘Clef referencing Phil Collins just wins on GP. Download Echo Boom here, and listen to “Turn You On” and “Put In Work” below.
