If you’re not already hooked on these hilarious, mini-Trini soap operas, here’s a few things you should know: Santana is a player with a fondness for Michael Jackson jackets, nipple rings and, of course, women. He’s joined in his adventures by his girlfriend, Janice, his impotent neighbor, Narine, and his charlatan nemesis, Pastor Stewart. Puppet sex, and epithet-fueled Trini-accented tirades ensue. Here’s a quick introduction to the series, and our interview with Santana creator Roger Alexis.
In addition to Friday night, CariBBeing is hosting additional screenings at the Rerun Theater in Dumbo, Brooklyn, on April 17—tonight— at 9 p.m., and on the 18th at 6 and 7:45 p.m.; at Pulse 48, on April 19 (6:30 p.m.); and the Maysles Cinema in Harlem, on Sunday April 22 (3:30 and 5 p.m.). Tickets for all screenings are going fast, so buy yours here to ensure attendance.
