Fashion Fridays: Kingston Style x Caribbean Fashion Week 2012

Words by Emily Shapiro, Photos by Biggy Bigz—

Caribbean Fashion Week went down a few weeks ago and, while we weren’t able to make the trip, we can always count on Biggy Bigz’s Kingston Style blog to keep us up on JA style runnings, both at the street and runway level. Bigz caught shows by Cedella Marley (who debuted her swimsuit line High Tide, and designs for this year’s Jamaican Olympics team), Gavin Douglas, singer-turned-designer Ashley Martin, as well as The Cloth’s unveiling of its “Obeah” collection. He also snapped sideline shots of local fashion plates, and even Albert Minott of the Jolly Boys. Check out some of the highlights below, and head to Kingston Style for more.
