A dude of many roles, Brooklyn-based Jamerican artist and producer Ricky Blaze returns with a four-on-the-floor club tune teetering somewhere between dancehall, UK garage, Ibiza anthem and American cheese. Skillfully crafted to get the gyals going wild, the big room synth stabs, catchy hook and flirtatious lyrics lead to an unlikely piano leadout that seals the deal, and will maybe even lead to calling you in the morning. Recently affiliated with Atlantic Records, Blaze go indy with this one off his upcoming Crash The Party record, coming in hot via dance music don dadas at Fools Gold. The album should be well leant in an electro-dancehall direction given the brains that put that combo together, and Ricky’s background of producing major club crossover bombs for years now, it could be a big one. In my head it goes a little something like this. Stream and download “Jump On 4” below, courtesy of The Fader (glow sticks not included).
