Video: Skrillex ft. Damian Marley “Make It Bun Dem”

Words by DJ Theory —

A few months ago when I first caught wind of the Skrillex x Damian Marley collab I was a bit reluctant to cosign, but after further digesting and running it in the club the tune delivers.  Simply from the collaboration alone it has massive crossover strength, bridging the gap between the dancheall, reggae and dare I say EDM worlds.  The just released video – directed by Tony Truand – is simply stunning. Shedding some light on the foreclosure crisis here in the states, a suburban shaman and youth bring the spirit world straight to babylon’s doorstep. Rain dance, war paint, wolves, hawks, medicine drums, mysticism, and trippy 3D visuals connect with the music spot on and will likely send a shiver down your spine.  Rudeboy shaman says tell some police bwoy fi pack up and run way.

Bonus: My dude David Heartbreak has an official remix for the tune as well, and also cooked up this heavyweight 95bpm dancehall version for free download.  Stream and cop below.
