Words by Jesse Serwer—
There’s no shortage of songs for gals to bubble and wine up to coming from Jamaica right now but, for good measure, here’s one from Austria by way of Scandinavia.
Wax Wreckaz, a four-man production team from the Austrian city of Innsbruck, have teamed with Swedish dancehall talent Etzia (fresh off her recent collaboration with Future Fambo) and Finnish record label/sound crew Top Billin (who gave us the excellent Balearic dancehall jam “Shake Sitten” from Kush Arora and Mega Banton earlier this year) for the release of the bashment excursion called—what else—”Bubble & Wine Up.”
The single, which blends dancehall and tropical bass vibes with an accessible pop slant, drops officially on Wednesday, with remixes by Stereotyp, So Shifty, Bert on Beats and Urban Knights. But the good folks at Top Billin have given us an exclusive premiere of the original tune. Stream and download below, preview the full release with all five versions, and check out the colorful video for the full picture.
