Seen: Heavy D Remembered in Photos

Words by Jesse Serwer—

A year ago today, the music business lost one of it’s all-around good guys and unsung talents in the late Dwight Arrington Myers, a/k/a Heavy D. LargeUp remembered Heavy that day by highlighting his role as one of hip-hop’s ambassadors for Jamaican and dancehall culture.

Over the last few weeks we noticed that Hev’s brother Floyd Myers has been digging into the Myers family photo archives and pulling out some real gems so, on the occasion of this one-year anniversary, we thought we’d pick out some gems, and share with you. Scroll through.
