Words by Jesse Serwer—
New York producer Dre Skull released the well-regarded Kling Klang riddim in 2012 and, to keep the momentum going in 2013, his label, Mixpak Records, is releasing a trio of videos for singles on the rhythm, which was voiced by Beenie Man, Tifa and others. First up is “So We Do It,” from Popcaan, whose upcoming debut album Dre Skull tells us he’s working on. Shot by Andy Capper, director of Snoop Lion’s Reincarnated documentary, “So We Do It” features the stunting of local Kingston motorcycle crew Crazy Bikerz, who do their best to steal the show as Poppy rides shotgun. Nope, no daredevil maneuvering from Poppy. Dem call him di Raving King, not the Biking King.
