Major Lazer made their late-night TV debut Thursday night, stopping by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform “Get Free” with the Dirty Projectors’ Amber Coffman and David Longstreth (Watch here). Immediately after taping, the crew headed downtown to Miss Lily’s, site of Major Lazer’s Free the Universe pop-up shop, where Jillionaire joined DJ Gravy for a set on The LargeUp Sessions, running through soca, dancehall (kicking things off with Johnny Osbourne and Barrington Levy dubplates), EDM remixes and more, as a raucous crowd accumulated inside Miss Lily’s Variety.
Kids were literally screaming when Diplo and Walshy Fire finally walked through the doors to join their Trini bredrin, while Major Lazer dancer Mela Murder whipped up a further frenzy. Stream/download the broadcast, and scroll through the photo gallery for pics from the gathering.
