EVENT: LargeUp Presents the Dream Sessions Dancehall Edition with Sister Nancy

Words by LargeUp Crew—

LargeUp is partnering with Dream Downtown Hotel and Evian for a July 4th weekend beachfront dancehall party featuring Sister Nancy in Montauk, Long Island (aka “The End”). Yep, the venue for the July 5 event—the Django Beach Bar at legendary resort Gurney’s Inn— is literally right on the sand, so leave your dancing shoes at home. Try finding that kind of action anywhere in the Hamptons.
Downtown-approved dancehall deejay Jah Banks will be opening up things at the event, hosted by Ro Anand, PJ Monte and Mole, and NYC DJ icon Stretch Armstrong, Ras Tayo of Twin Sound fame and Kieren Taylor (resident at Dream Downtown’s Electric Room) are holding down the sounds ‘longside LargeUp’s DJ Gravy. Of course, all that’s just an appetizer for the original female dancehall deejay Muma Nancy, who will bring her catalog of dancehall classics like “Bam Bam”  to the twilight session.
It’s a Friday night event, but things start early—6 p.m. to be exact. See you on the beach.
