The website Animal New York is one of our favorite sources for coverage of culture in NYC. Its visual presentation is top notch, and its writing is always smart, savvy and on point. The site recently piqued our attention by branching out to London where, among other things, they seem to have immersed themselves in that city’s deep-rooted sound system culture.
Specifically, Animal’s Bucky Turco and Aymann Ismail met up with original U.K. sound don dada Trevor Sax of Saxon Studio International at home in his vinyl-filled flat, and found Unit 137, a (relatively) new UK-wide crew carrying London Town bass culture into the future.
