King Addies, Bounty Killer Dub Mix: Bullet! Cross! Peeeople Deadddd!! You should know that the original stateside champions King Addies have the baddest Bounty Killer mixtape bout yah… This right here has to be one of, if not the largest (?) collection of exclusive material from Killer documented on one recording to date. 80 minutes of straight dubplate pressure endorsed by the Warlord, dating back to the late 80’s and forward to the present, delivered straight from Kingston to Brooklyn. There’s very few sounds that can boast a mix like this, real dancehall and dubplate fans stand up. Stream and download below.
So Shifty, Robota Bum Bum: Leave it to German bad boys So Shifty to come back with another strictly reggaeton, perreo and dem bow mixtape for 2013. It’s been six months since we included their first reggaeton mix Chuleria on Mixtape Mondays, and for this round they deliver the same energy and strength and round one which has gone on to log over 80k plays. DJ’s and producers of fine reggae, dancehall and various tropical heat, So Shifty clearly have their hands on some real perreo business as well with these mixes. A big forward this week for the reggaeton massive and anyone checking in from Puerto Rico, Cuba, DR, and beyond. Stream and download below, tracklist here.
