TICKET GIVEAWAY: Burning Spear at BRIC House, Brooklyn, 10/3

Words by LargeUp Crew, Photo by Ethan Sigman—

BRIC House, Brooklyn’s newest performance and cultural space, officially opens its doors this Thursday night (10/3), and, for their very first show, they’ve tapped none other than Jamaica native and NYC resident Burning Spear. If you’ve never caught Spear live before—or even if you have —consider this your opportunity, as the voice of “Marcus Garvey,” “Slavery Days” and other reggae classics will perform before an intimate crowd of just 400. And, we can tell you from first-hand experience, Spear is as vital as ever—trust us, we’ve worked out with him. (More on that later…)

To celebrate the launch, BRIC House decided to give away all of the tickets to the show for free. Just about all of these are gone, but LargeUp has two pairs of tickets to give away. To enter, just follow LargeUp on Twitter, and tweet the following:

I want to win 2 tickets to see #BurningSpearinBK from @Largeupdotcom: http://lrgup.co/19RieWg

Winners will be selected and contacted by direct message on Wednesday. Showtime Thursday night is 7 p.m., at BRIC House, 647 Fulton St. (at Rockwell Place), in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
