Coming off a summer in which he headlined Dancehall Night at Reggae Sumfest and topped the Jamaican charts with “Buss A Blank,” I-Octane is gearing up to release his follow-up to last year’s Crying To The Nation. “Love You Like I Do,” the first single from the new project, currently slated for early 2014 via DJ Frass and Tad’s Records, finds Octane taking a different path with a rootical reggae riddim. Will Octane be following a similar path to Busy Signal and Mr. Vegas, and dropping a reggae-themed project? We’ll have to just wait and see.
The sepia-toned video, shot by Scorpio 21, is, appropriately, set in the past, tracking a boy-meets-girl story that culminates in a wedding set in 1973. This one should definitely melt the hearts of all the ladies hoping to be Mrs. Octane. Watch below, and buy the single here.
