Now Things: Samantha J’s Live Performance on BET’s 106 & Park

Words by Michellee Nelson ~

You saw her here first! Our girl, Jamaican singer Samantha J took the stage at BET’s 106 & Park to kick off the start of Young Star’s Week with a special, live performance of her popular single. With the entire audience reppin’ the black, green, and gold the multi-talented artist gave the fans something to scream about with a wicked performance of “Tight Skirt,” then took some time to chat up hosts Bow Wow and Keisha Chante (watch a clip from her appearance below) on a few familiar themes.

We first introduced you to Samantha J just last month after we caught up with her on the NYC leg of her U.S. promo tour with Youtube celeb Andrea Russett. She took a break to talk with us about her personal style, how she is adjusting to her newfound success, and her upcoming album, all while getting her nails tun up at lower east side nail bar, Vanity Projects. Watch her perform the acoustic version of “Tight Skirt” below and check out our exclusive interview with her here.
