Animal Instinct
This riddim was released early January 2013, and I played it a lot in the beginning of the year. Somehow I forgot about it during the spring, and we found each other again sometime after the summer. Produced by Kurt Riley for Techniques Records, the riddim contains 20+ cuts from various artists. Not all songs on the riddim are of quality, but those that are really stand out. Gully Gaad definitely takes the riddim with “Can’t Happen” — other big tunes are Konshens’ “Thank God Fi Di Gal Dem” and “Protect Them Lord” by Popcaan. —DJ Shirkhan
