If you couldn’t make it to Austin last week for the hottest bashment party Texas, and certainly South by Southwest, has ever seen, never fear—LargeUp is on the road again, and this time we’re getting the party started in Miami during this year’s Winter Music Conference.
The Winter Music Massive, co-produced by Electric Punanny, has become something of a WMC tradition. Previous parties have featured performances from dancehall legends Mr. Vegas and Johnny Osbourne, as well as an international assortment of the best bashment DJs.
Hosted by Melanie Fiona, Rvssian and Gaby Duran, this year’s third-annual Winter Music Massive on Sat. March 22 features live performances from the Viking of Soca Bunji Garlin and his Vi-queen, Fay-Ann Lyons, and Jo Mersa Marley, and Jesse Royal.
LargeUp’s own DJ Gravy, Electric Punanny’s Jasmine Solan0 and Melo-X (check out their latest mixtape here), DJ San Gabriel from Berlin, Miami’s Reid Waters, and Spread Love on the decks.
Ms. Fiona will be getting back in touch with her Caribbean roots: the Guyanese-Canadian R&B diva got her start doing reggae, and has collaborated with Sean Paul, Shaggy and Stephen Marley.
But one of the best parts of organizing a party during WMC is you never know who might stop by… so mark your calendars, shine up your wining shoes, and don’t forget to RSVP! It all goes down this Saturday at the Alley Lounge, part of the LMNT complex in Miami’s Design District.
