Words by Jesse Serwer—
Chronixx released his Dread & Terrible project yesterday and, we thought, a video for the EP’s “Rastaman Wheel Out” was coming, too. That turned out to be something of an April Fools, as the video’s just showed up this morning…with an unexpected dose of comedy. Chronixx makes his acting debut in the Ras Kassa-directed video, which has more than a bit of Rockers about it, as a humble rasta man played by Chronixx (“Oh!…Dat yout deh, him gwaan good enuh!”) gets into something of a pickle when trying to fetch some peas down the road. Picking up some ganja along the way as payment for a debt, he attracts the attention of a pair of bumbling police officers and… adventure ensues. At a full 9 minutes, the clip is something of a mini movie, and definitely a new direction for Chronixx.
