Ah, Murda!: Assassin’s LargeUp Sessions Freestyle

Words by LargeUp Crew—

Assassin (aka Agent Sasco), Tanisha Scott and Echo Slim were our guests on an action-packed edition of the LargeUp Sessions last Thursday night. DJ Gravy warmed things up with some choice selections, followed by a guest set from Echo Slim, LargeUp contributor and producer of this super dope remix of Bob Marley’s  “Bus Dem Shut.”

Assassin passed through next, filling us in on his latest runnings—look out for him on the remix to Lil Jon’s “Turn Down For What”—before dropping a heavyweight freetyle on us, over the Showtime, Drum Song, Bangarang riddim, Duck riddim and Gear Box riddims. Not one to leave out the local massive, he wraps things up by bigging up “di whole ah Brooklyn, 90s…Flatbush to Bronx we nah lef out Queens.”

Our final guest was Tanisha Scott, choreographer for… everybody. Tanisha shared stories from some of her more memorable jobs, including Sean Paul’s “Gimme the Light” and “Get Busy” videos. The vibe was so good, we had to go into overtime.

Stream the full show below, or just run the freestyle below. Ah Murda!
