Words by LargeUp Crew—
We’ve said it here before, and we’ll say it again: Jesse Royal is the future of reggae. Following Jesse’s appearances at our epic South by Southwest and Winter Music Conference showcases this past March, we’re teaming with our 2014 Artist to Watch once more, along with House of Marley, for a live performance at the world-famous Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach, Florida, this Saturday, July 5th. LargeUp’s DJ Gravy will be manning the decks at the event, part of Ron Jon’s Saturday Soundsystem series, from 1-6.
The event is one of several live reggae events LargeUp is bringing you this Independence Week, starting with tomorrow’s International Reggae Day showcase at Miss Lily’s/RadioLily. We’ll also be out at the Surf Lodge in Montauk, Long Island, on Sunday July 6 for the Dream Live! concert series with Nardo Ranks, Jah Banks and Ras Droppa backed by the Skadanks band. Stay tuned for more details.
