LargeUp is proud to announce that dancehall’s certified diva Tifa, as well as DJ Corey Chase, are joining us for this Thursday’s edition of the LargeUp Sessions radio show.
Tifa’s been on the scene for a minute now, topping charts and dominating dancefloors in her native Jamaica with tunes like “Spell It Out,” “Bottom Of The Barrel,” and “Dash Out.” Recently named to our list of dancehall’s greatest lady deejays, she’s currently making the rounds in the U.S. with her new label Island Kings Records, performing at release parties in Boston and New York for her latest single, “Bak It Up.” And to paraphrase Jay-Z, Tifa’s not just a businesswoman, she’s a business—with a new line of headphones and a slew of endorsement deals, she is becoming one of Jamaica’s most influential artists.
LargeUp fam and DJ/producer Corey Chase, whose credits include scratches on Welcome To Jamrock and production for Frank Ocean—probably no one you’ve really heard of—will also join us for a guest set.
Tune in to RadioLily.com today at 6 PM Eastern to hear the show live, and if you’re in NYC, drop by Miss Lily’s Variety, at 130 W. Houston St and come catch it all in person. Check out Tifa’s “Bak It Up” video below:
