Royally Speaking: Jesse Royal Meets Major Lazer

Words by Deejay Theory —

Coming in extra hot to supplement today’s Mixtape Mondays comes the big combination from LargeUp extended family Jesse Royal and Mr. Walshy Fire. We’ve been steadily seeing Jesse rise as our Top Artist to Watch in 2014, and around this time last year went in for an in-depth interview to give people and idea of what’s to come from the singer.

Now we have the sick full-length mixtape laced with original tunes, dubplates and various remixes hip hop and otherwise from Walshy plus sharp artwork from the one Marcus Burrowes, of Rockers NYC fame. I’m catching a similar vibe to Major Lazer and Chronixx‘s wicked Start a Fyah mixtape, which we debuted last year, and looking forward to giving this one a rinse all summer…

Stream and download Royally Speaking below, and peep the tracklist here.
