Another Feeling: Leadpipe & Saddis Meet I-Octane on “Girls Dem Follow”

Barbados’ Leadpipe and Saddis took over Crop Over this year with their “Tune of De Crop”winning “Ah Feeling.” If the voices sounded familiar but the names don’t that’s because you may know them as Porgie & Murda, stars of the popular Bajan comedy series by that name and the artists behind last year’s “Condense.”

LargeUp recently linked up with the duo during their recent visit to New York City, and got to know both sides of their respective personalities. We’ll be dropping a full feature on Leadpipe and Saddis (and Porgie and Murda) shortly but until then we thought we’d get you familiar via another of their 2014 Crop Over releases, “Girls Dem Follow.” Mixing groovy soca with a healthy dose of bashment vibes, the tune pairs them with fellow Bajan soca artist Altek (of MWE) and, in his first ever soca release, dancehall star I-Octane.

Stream “Girls Dem Follow,” produced by Jon Doe of Renegade International, below. And if you’re in Barbados, look out for Porgie and Murda’s debut feature film, Unusual Suspects The Movie-, out Sept. 28.
