Denise “Saucy Wow” Belfon—aka Ms. Flexi-Back—reminded people once more why she is still the “Wining Queen” in 2014. Going over J Rod Records’ Chuku Chuku riddim, Belfon brought forth one of the most captivating female-voiced tunes this year with her Trini interpretation of the Nigerian classic “Sawale” —one of several notable songs which combined soca with Afrobeats this season. —Marcha M.
