Mixtape Mondays: Private Ryan, Bobby Hustle, DJ Autograph x DJ Shirkhan

Words by Deejay Theory

As we cruise into the new year we’re greeted with new music from all directions for another edition of #MixtapeMondays. Brand new soca, original music and essential rewinds set the tone for this week below.

Private Ryan, Soca Starter 2015: Leading things off with Trinidad’s mixtape king Private Ryan delivering his first mix of the year as a preview to his heavily anticipated and downloaded Soca Brainwash series that drop right around carnival every year. This one serves as a highlight of what’s currently in club and radio rotation for 2015 soca as well as a welcome jumpstart to raving season. Stream and download below

Bobby Hustle, Before It’s Gone: An extra large mix CD from the Northwest’s own Bobby Hustle just dropped in preparation for some road hustle from the singer and further movements in 2015. Extended artist family of Dynasty Records and Blessed Coast Sound – who’s own DJ Triple Crown mixed the project – Bobby shares his smooth delivery via current singles and unreleased material on this official mixtape for the people. Stream and download below, tracklist here

DJ Shirkhan x DJ Autograph, Back In The 90’s: Bare niceness to close out the week courtesy of our good folks like DJ Autograph in NYC and DJ Shirkhan in Sweden. If you couldn’t decipher from the title this is straight throwback settings from two badd selectors who’s crates run extra deep and have a pre-existing history with sick mixtapes. Timeless classics here from some of the best to ever do it from a crucial era of dancehall music. Stream and download below, tracklist here
