Named for the St. Ann parish village where one Robert Nesta Marley was born on Feb. 6, 1945, the annual 9 Mile Music Festival has become a Miami reggae tradition. Typically held in March, the fest has moved up to February this year, the better to coincide with the 70th birthday celebrations for Bob currently happening as part of Reggae Month in Jamaica and elsewhere. Set for Saturday, Feb. 14th at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds, the lineup features Marley sons Stephen, Damian and Julian, grandson Jo Mersa Marley, and Capleton, Jesse Royal, SOJA, The Green, Tanya Stephens, Jo Mersa Marley and Nature.
The organizers have given us two pairs of tickets to give away to LargeUp readers.
