EVENT: Protoje “Ancient Future” Album Launch in NYC (3/15)

Words by LargeUp Crew

Ancient Future, the upcoming third album from Protoje, is easily one of the year’s most promising reggae/dancehall releases. With three stellar singles to its credit so far, beginning with last year’s Chronixx collaboration “Who Knows” to his new tune “Answer To Your Name,” anticipation is high for the project, produced by Protoje and Winta James.

On Sunday, March 15th, Oje brings Ancient Future to New York for an official album launch and live performance presented by LargeUp at SOB’s. The show will be his first appearance in NYC with the full Indiggnation band, and also features sounds from Max Glazer (Federation Sound), DJ Gravy and Micro Don of the Rice and Peas crew.

Purchase tickets for March 15th’s show here, pre-order Ancient Future here, read our interview with Protoje here, and run tune on “Who Knows,” “Stylin'” and “Answer To Your Name” below. As Protoje himself recently told Complex about the latter, a catchy, ska-flavored track with a story set in 1970s England: “I challenge anyone not to dance when they hear this.”
