Summer is just getting started but the Young Lions Tour, featuring Kabaka Pyramid, Iba Mahr and the Bebble Rockers band, has already begun to set the U.S. ablaze. On June 27th, about midway through the LargeUp-presented tour, the pair swung through theย Freret Publiq House in New Orleans, and blessed the ears of the Lousiana massive with some roots and culture.
For the fans who came out, it was a priceless experience to catch these two rising stars together on one bill. Iba Mahr hung around for a while after the show and greeted fans with his welcoming and humble personality, reasoning about everything from his mission with the music to his love for Clarks footwear.
This tour is just the tip of the iceberg for these two. They both have full-length projects in the making and are committed to continually deliver quality content to quench your thirst for real roots music.
After leaving New Orleans, the Young Lions headed east to Florida, where theyโre set to play tonight at the Puff Ultra Lounge in Jacksonville. Next, theyโll head up the East Coast and seal up the tour on July 12th at SOBs in New York City.
If possible, check out the Young Lions Tour in a city near you. See here for dates and ticket info, and check out some photo highlights from the New Orleans show below.
