We have a well-rounded serving of dancehall, soca and soul for you this week at #MixtapeMondays with an extra dash of Soca due to Crop Over season in Barbados. Help yourself below
Silent Addy, Never Sober: Young Miami boss and Eccentrix Sound team member Silent Addy just dropped off another unruly dancehall mix to charge up your week. Following the previous Gyal Segment, Addy comes with Never Sober – a testament to current raving trends, party essentials and bashment business. Of course this one’s laced with plenty of Kartel, Poppy and Addy’s full time chargie and recent Unruly Gang signee Chi Ching Ching. Stream and download below, tracklist here
J Boogie, Rocksteady Soul: Bay Area-based veteran selector/producer J Boogie makes his MM debut with a carefully selected mix conceptualized with the Mixologi family. If you couldn’t guess by the title, it’s a soulful selection of R&B and hip hop artists over classic reggae riddims as remixed by a handful of friends and fellow deejay’s. A real nice start to the week and a timeless mix to vibe to anytime. Put some Rocksteady Soul back in your diet below, tracklist here
Syychronic Sound, I Am A Socaholic: It’s only right that we bust some straight soca this week in celebration of Crop Over season in Barbados in full swing plus Caribana and a few other fetes on deck. Although hailing from North Carolina, Syychronic Sound delivered this groovy soca soundtrack to set things off with a stack of road requirements from 2012 to the present.
