Ahead of her appearance at the inaugural Jamaican World Cannabis Cup this weekend in Negril, Jah9 drops a big tune off of Greensleeves Records’ brand-new The Biggest One Drop Anthems compilation.
The disc (which also features Luciano, Capleton, Richie Spice, Etana, Raging Fyah and Iba Mahr) marks the return of the long-running compilation series after a four-year hiatus. This time, instead of the usual compendium of hits, The Biggest One Drop Anthems boasts all new tunes produced by famed Jamaican boardsman Clive Hunt. On “Feeling Irie,” sweet melodica notes, horns, Niyabinghi drumming and spoken dub poetry come together in a dubwise anthem sure to inspire the raising of lighters in Negril and beyond.
