Raekwon the Chef leads off the soundtrack to BE Inspired, a professional ski film 23 years in the making. The track, produced by Winta James (known for producing “Here Comes Trouble” for Chronixx and Protoje’s Ancient Future) also features Kabaka Pyramid, showcasing his agility over a raging backdrop of guitars and drums. This hip-hop and reggae collaboration follows Rae’s recent foray into dancehall-inspired sounds on “Soundboy Kill It” with Assassin (aka Agent Sasco) and Melanie Fiona.
BE Inspired‘s trailer doubles as a preview of high-flying tricks by the film’s stars Phil Casabon and Henrik Harlaut, then segues into a performance of the title song by Raekwon and Kabaka Pyramid. Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire, who produced the film’s soundtrack, also gets a shoutout by Harlaut. The trailer also features the Linx Beach T-shirt from Raekwon’s CL-95 brand, a twist on the iconic Ralph Lauren Snow Beach jacket made famous by Rae.
The forecast couldn’t look any more bright for the action sports flick, coming this fall.
