Jamaica’s Raging Fyah just dropped their brand new single “Raggamuffin” from their forthcoming album, Everlasting. It is a signature Fyah track with heavy drum and bass — a dubbed out riddim that will certainly ride the sound systems in fine style. One of Jamaica’s most talented young reggae acts, Raging Fyah, who were recently featured in LargeUp’s Artists to Watch list for 2016, is still riding a high from praise received for their remake of Dennis Brown’s “Milk and Honey,” a brilliantly-produced collaboration with the originator of the tune himself, Clive Hunt. The single, which came out of a jam session between Raging Fyah’s Kumar Bent, and Kevor from the band Pentateuch, is all dub roots, rock, reggae at its finest.
“The song speaks to those who find themselves with matching hair and personality,” Kumar says. “Real raggamuffin.”
“Raggamuffin” will be available for purchase through VP Records.
