Nice combination on deck from Clarendon, JA artist Warrior King and Massachusetts-based hip hop / bass music maestros Tonio Sagan and Gems Geneva. We could all use a friendly reminder to cut out the dutty badminded and fake people in our worlds, and “Frenemies” gets the message across with Warrior King’s smooth delivery over a sharp and swingy electro-roots riddim. Tonio Sagan – grandson of the one Carl Sagan – has been digging deep into the soundscapes as of late, best described through this crazy ride of an original “Stuff Dreams Are Made Of” he dropped on his soundcloud recently. It’s nice to see him surfing into some vibey Caribbean territory with this one.
