Boomshakalak Sound System, Brentford Road 13 – A Tribute to Studio One: The Netherlands’ Boomshakalak Sound System has put together a mix dedicated to the most important studio in reggae history, Studio One. The compilation gets its title from the address that Studio One was located in Kingston, Jamaica and gives us a history of some of the greatest reggae artists to ever record in the famed studio. Studio One spawned a who’s who of Jamaican artists and they are all featured on this mix from Bob Marley to Dennis Brown to the Heptones and Alton Ellis. Grab this mix to hear history as it was made at Brentford Road 13, the place where reggae music was born. Stream and download below:
Lukie Wyniger, Neva Happy Fi Mi Dancehall Mix: Uncle Pengpeng aka Lukie Wyniger has managed to compile some of the freshest reggae and dancehall to hit the streets as of late with only the best of the best making the cut on this mix. Expertly mixed and well put together, Neva Happy Fi Mi features big chunes from Vershon, Mavado, Jahmiel, Sizzla, Popcaan and Alkaline among a host of others.
