Brooklyn’s own We Chief have just dropped their brand new Cumbiotica Riddim in time for the summer and we’re happy to be premiering it here on LargeUp. Known for their “Raggatronic” brand of productions featuring reggae over bass pounding electronic beats, the Cumbiotia Ridim is something different. Heavily influenced by the Latin American sounds of Cumbia and blended perfectly with dancehall, this 3 pack release has us wishing more artists got to bless this riddim.
‘Party Right Here’ finds Jahdan Blakkamoore soulfully crooning to his lady friend about the benefits of staying in and having a private party. The catchy chorus and smooth airy sound is bound to have dance floors packed on every continent. Anthony B blesses track two on ‘One Man’ singing about the virtues of a faithful female who loves her man and nuh share di ting. It’s another banger and the Cumbiotica Riddim is the perfect fit for this big big chune. We Chief leave the door open to artists worldwide on track 3 releasing the instrumental version for all to have. While it’s an amazing musical production on its own, we’d love to see some other artists touch the mic on this wicked riddim. Stream below:
