Words by Deejay Theory

It’s a family affair at #MixtapeMondays this week with chargies from all corners turning on the reggae and dancehall heat. Fill up a cup and press play below.

LargeUp Premiere: DJ Gravy, Turn on the Heat: More often than not we’re game for a quality throwback mix around here, but it’s not every day we’re treated to some Monday niceness from our own DJ Gravy at the controls. Gravy been deep in the reggae game from 19-how-long, and dusts off just a few of his favorite summertime cuts from the stash showcasing the best in 80’s and 90’s reggae with some necessary dancehall leanings. Turn this one up and maybe the pool bar will stay open a few more hours…

Faction Sound Crew, Live on Sirius XM DHSN August 2016: This past Saturday yours truly alongside my fellow Faction Sound Crew associates took over the airwaves once again on Sirius XM “The Joint” Dancehall Saturday Night towers. Look out for one big dutty stinkin hour of the baddest new dancehall and bashment riddims and singles plus of course some exclusive dubs and remixes. Let’s see some lightaaaaa.. Stream and download below, tracklist here

Dre Skull, FACT Mix 564: Still fresh off a massive victory at the Red Bull Culture Clash in London, DJ/producer/Mixpak head honcho Dre Skull passes through with a DJ mix full of summer energy and big tunes. Mostly current dancehall with a few twists and turns and of course some exclusive material from the Mixpak crew and friends. I swear “Yuh Love” will never ever grow old, sounds just as good as the day it was released. Press play and hold a vibes. Tracklist and download here

Thee Mike B, “Re-Minxes” Medley: Big link from our bredren Brukkout and LA dancehall/rave veteran Thee Mike B on the mix. This one is a quick riddim sampler for Brukkout’s latest dancehall-meets electronic-meets dembow project the “Minx Riddim” featuring the likes of Leftside, Gappy Ranks, Craigy T and a new drinking anthem from Fambo & Beenie Man. Listen the chune below
