DJ Doctor Esan, 1 Soca 2017: December and January are big months for soca releases as all of the artists start building momentum for Carnival. Many artists have their eye on the prize for the annual International Soca Monarch competition which takes place on Carnival Friday in Trinidad and crowns the biggest artist for the year – and right here you’ll find a whole heap ah contenders on Miami’s Doctor Esan’s 1 Soca mix with 200 minutes of brand new soca. DJ Triplet, Bodmon Mix: Germany’s DJ Triplet has put in some heavy work on this mix combining reggae, dancehall and hip hop seamlessly throughout with an added touch of afrobeats for good measure. Every other song on this compilation is an exclusive remix created by Triplet with dancehall artists blended over some of today’s biggest rap beats as well as many original bootleg remixes. DJ Neil Nice, Boomshot Dubs – Inna Digi Style: Every once in awhile a dj takes the time to hunt down the riddims behind some of the most beloved reggae and dub tracks to put out an instrumental mix like this one and the results can be pure fiyah.
