In these days and times when turning on the news is enough to make you vomit, it’s nice to know some good music can still help get you through. Bun dung babylon with some big bad dubplates, buss a whine to the newest soca and slap up some walls to some dancehall favorites in this week’s mixtape picks.
DJ Sabz, Mash It Up: DJ Sabz of the UK’s Wassmuffin Sound System has come up with a mix that could easily be called “A Night at the Dancehall” because all the current big chunes are here from every genre you might hear. Sabz runs through all the dancehall, soca, hip hop, R&B and afrobeat hits you could ask for with a sprinkling of dubplates and a well mixed track list.
