Party tun up!
Apparently, you can’t beat the combination of rum punch, pizza, dancehall and California sunshine. This month’s Boomyard LA was the vibes-iest edition yet, as a diverse crowd of all ages and ethnicities turned up in force for our monthly bashment party at Delicious Pizza in LA’s West Adams neighborhood. Selectors DJ Rampage, Jasmine Solano, Shacia Payne Marley, DJ Daneekah, Culture D and Samurasta brought the sounds, while 4/20 came early as guest performers RSNY handed out 50 joints as they performed their single “Real Ganja Man.” It was a family vibe, as the likklest ones in attendance (Boomyard is all ages) got the chance to mix it up with the pro dancers on the dancefloor, while guests like singers Daniel Bambaata Marley and Kreesha Turner took in the vibes. It’s great to see a dancehall community developing in Los Angeles, with artists, dancers, DJs all coming together, and we’re glad to say that Boomyard is playing a vital part in that. This is really LA’s can’t-miss bashment party.
Boomyard is every second Sunday of the month. Join us for the next one on May 14th, and keep it locked here for details.
