Five years after first hitting the scene in Jamaica, Jesse Royal is getting set to drop his much-anticipated debut album, Lily of the Valley, this September via New York’s Easy Star Records. First, the Palace Pickney will hit the road for a two-week North American excursion that takes him across the Northeast U.S. and Canada’s East Coast. The Always Be Around Tour, featuring support from the band Signal Fire, kicks off Wednesday, July 5th at SOBs in New York City, and concludes with a show July 16th at Toronto’s Adelaide Hall.
Get tickets to each of the respective shows here, and press play below to hear Jesse’s latest single, “Always Be Around,” produced by Llamar “Riff Raff” Brown, for a first taste of Lily of the Valley. The LP, in case you were wondering, takes its name from Convallaria majalis — a plant species known for its sweet scent and poisonous, often deadly, disposition. Easy now, Jesse!
